Storage Inn on Stanley Street in Halifax NS has provided us with great service, friendly staff and a clean, temperature controlled facility. I wouldn’t hesitate to use there services anytime. The prices are comparable with other facilities in the city.

Our first interaction with Storage Inn has left me feeling disappointed. The website quoted a 5x10 storage locker at $114 per 28 days. This price was confirmed with a verbal quote when we visited in person.
Once we actually went to sign the contract the price was increased to $123 per 28 days due to a mandatory $9 insurance policy that cannot be declined. This insurance policy is not clearly advertised on the website, nor was it mentioned until the contract signing process had already started.
Though the website states there are no hidden fees, it seems you should be prepared to add $10 to any quoted prices you are given to accommodate for the mandatory insurance. It’s a shame this policy is not made clear up front.
Unfortunately, our locker also has a structural column that encroaches slightly into the unit’s storage space. While this can’t necessarily be helped, and isn’t a huge deal, it is two disappointing knocks that don’t leave a great first impression.

Very good experience at the Storage Inn. Rented a unit there for 18 months and was always most impressed by the cleanliness and security of the premises, but really just top marks across the board.
Customer service, ease of access, communication via email, etc. was all top-notch. Would easily recommend.

I highly recommend this self- storage facility, I wanted something local, with availability. Awesome and friendly staff and great facility with climate control. I needed extra storage asap while between anpartments and they provided. If you need storage, small or large, support the awesome local business!
